JOB PURPOSE
The Web Experience Senior Manager holds a key role in the marketing communications group, to drive the strategic direction and implementation of web related programs, including development efforts for the corporate web site, campaign sites, community, online ecommerce capabilities, and other properties that might be launched from time to time. The Senior Manager provides expertise in user interface design/usability orientation, ability to move web visitors through actionable pathways, ability to facilitate content development, conceive of and implementation of cross promotional programs launched from corporate site, tie corporate site to outbound promotional campaigns, and a strong analytics skill set.
The Web Experience Manager works closely with director of corporate marketing and other key marketing executives to plan initiatives, supervise technical development efforts using both internal web resources and contract agencies, as well as coordinate efforts with corporate IT and network administration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
¨ Planning and budgeting of strategic direction on web related projects
¨ Manage development and evolution of Wacom web properties to accomplish business and marketing objectives
¨ Multi-language, multi regional sites
¨ Ecommerce functionality for both U.S. and Canada currencies
¨ Integration of web properties with Wacom enterprise accounting, CRM and other systems
¨ Manage technical web team and agency resources in the design, production, and maintenance of Wacom’s sites, including ecommerce.
¨ Provide counsel on and adherence to best practices for usability and user interface design
¨ Facilitation of content development with product management resources and other Wacom point experts
¨ Manage and optimizing the e-commerce system and support growth Y-o-Y growth in online sales
¨ Implement best practices for search engine optimization (SEO) on all Wacom web properties
¨ Build and implement sustainable model for web analytics focusing on refinement of practices to optimize and monetize web traffic.
¨ Support development aspects of Wacom initiatives in social media
¨ Maintain a high level of familiarity with current internet technologies
¨ Apply and adhere to Wacom global brand guidelines
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
¨ Maintain and administer all web domains owned by Wacom Technology
¨ Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Senior Web Experience Manager requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field. Applicants should have minimum of 10 years of industry experience and familiarity with contemporary programming languages.
Preference will be given to candidates with following experience:
- Implementation of content management systems
- Ecommerce
- Social media
- Strong marketing orientation
- Experience managing direct reports and facilitating groups
- Prior knowledge and experience in Adobe CS and other popular graphics applications
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, and communicate effectively across a variety of functional groups.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
