PECO Aerospace Fasteners, a wholly owned subsidiary of PECO, Inc. is excited to commence operations in our brand new, state of the art, facility in Canby, Oregon.

Previously named Product Engineering Corporation, PECO was founded in1938. Since its inception, PECO has produced aluminum and zinc die-castings. SALES DIRECTOR
In support of our growth and expansion, we are seeking to add a Sales Director to our team. PECO Aerospace Fasteners’ personnel regularly interface with our customers, suppliers, and coworkers within manufacturing, accounting, purchasing, sales, customer service, and engineering to analyze needs and develop solutions. It is imperative to our growth that we have a team willing to challenge ideas and continuously strive to make improvements. This position reports to the President of PECO Manufacturing.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university program plus 5 years of aerospace fastener sales experience; experience selling titanium and A286 alloy parts preferred.
Must have a proven and verifiable history of sales growth success.
Must have an extensive and current contact list of purchasing and engineering decision makers at OEM aircraft manufacturers and aerospace parts distributors.
Demonstrated ability to manage large and small accounts.
Technical aptitude to interpret and explain technical drawings and data.
Proven ability to drive a marketing strategy including product management and marketing communications.
Effective presentation and communicate skills with all levels of personnel.
Financial background to include budget and P&L management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Calls on management representatives such as engineers or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products offered.
* Focuses on business growth through cold calling potential customers.
* Responsible for developing new leads and opportunities with existing customers.
* Develops and delivers professional sales presentations that focus on the benefits of PECO products and speak directly to customer needs, closes sales in a professional and effective manner.
* Researches, develops and maintains long and short range sales and marketing plans.
* Maintains an up to date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices.
* Maintains a current knowledge of trends relative to the markets PECO serves including competition, changes in business climate, emerging needs, and changes in customer business strategy.
* Responds to customer inquiries and changes in material specifications in a timely manner.
* Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client.
* Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
* Communicates and documents changes in material specifications in a timely manner.
* Prepares and submits documentation for customers detailing production schedules.
* Ensures proper communication of customer requirements.
* Communicates new opportunities for production and sales for review.
* Assists in the completion of the detailed quotations to customers.
* Schedules and monitors progress of customer orders assuring on time delivery is met.
* Must have excellent organizational skills to prioritize work in process issues.
* Tracks production status and keeps requestors informed of progress and issues.
* Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
* Estimates and verifies date of delivery to customer.
* Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
* Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
* Provides technical training to employees of client.
* To successfully perform this job, an individual should possess a valid driver’s license

Other Qualifications – Frequent travel required
