DIRECT MARKETING PROGRAM MANAGER – Position Filled

JOB PURPOSE

The Direct Marketing Program Manager will take the lead in developing direct marketing campaigns for all product lines in keeping with the marketing communications strategy and budget. She/he will develop these campaigns and will coordinate with other marketing personnel, outside companies/contractors, and industry partners in order to execute campaigns to achieve optimum results. This position will be responsible for tracking and reporting on the campaigns and will be responsible for making sure that the messaging strictly adheres to the positioning and messaging provided by the product managers or Director of Corporate Marketing, and that the campaigns as a whole reinforce the brand identity that Wacom wishes to project. The Direct Marketing Program Manager will also play a key role in driving social media campaigns using existing and evolving social media tools, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn as well as Wacom’s own professional Community.   In addition, she/he will be expected to provide writing expertise and editorial input for other forms of communication within Wacom, as requested.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

¨       Create and execute direct marketing campaigns and related marketing programs that support the overall marketing strategy and that can be creatively executed within available budget and resource limitations

o    B2C campaigns culminating in transactions at Wacom’s online store

o    B2B enterprise campaigns designed to nurture and qualify multiple seat leads for field sales

o    Support vertical markets, Latin America initiatives and channel sales requests

¨       Provide measurable analytics for campaign results and facilitate ongoing improvements in program execution

¨       Write creative briefs and facilitate and manage creative development with Wacom’s creative studio and outsourced creative partners

o    Write well-crafted copy that produces the desired results and is suited to the medium(s) for which it is intended

¨       Apply best practice techniques to the process of list selection, testing, roll-out, management, and reporting within the context of Wacom’s selected CRM and MAS solution (salesforce.com)

¨       Provide segmentation and analytics for Wacom universe of customers in CRM and MAS

¨       Support research needs and survey implementation managed internally and externally from contracted research agencies.

¨       Act as a primary resource for the administration of Wacom’s selected CRM and MAS system (salesforce.com)

¨       Employ social media tools as way to engage end user audiences in a manner that adheres to best practices for social media marketing and support others in implementation of social media programs.

¨       Proofread own work and that of others to confirm accuracy, consistency, and compliance with the applicable identity guidelines and to improve the adherence, efficiency, and effectiveness of the copy

¨       Work independently and in collaboration with others to assign priorities and adjust schedules to accommodate changing requirements

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

¨       Assist with development of end-user testimonials and case stories

¨       Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Experience)

BS/BA required in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field with 5+ yrs of direct marketing and marketing program experience. This position requires a background that crosses all media and the demonstrated skill to imagine powerful concepts, craft crisp and effective copy, and manage campaigns through to completion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required along with demonstrable experience playing a leadership role in integrated communications programs across multiple product lines, developing strategic communications plans. The successful candidate will have strong planning and management abilities, solid contacts within the direct marketing community, be well organized, be creative, be able to develop and execute a strategic plan, have a strong desire to learn, and a compelling need to contribute in a fast-paced environment.
